Does have cheating, love triangles

Victoria is a nice and happy girl, who is now an orphan and she has to travel from America to England, to stay with an estranged relative. This uncle has a son, Jason, who is older than Victoria and cold. He doesnt enjoy human company, and when he understands that Victoria is going to stay at his house, he is angry with his father and wants Victoria out. He intends to find her a husband because he wants to get rid of her.

Victoria thinks that she is in love with her childhood friend, and she believes that he will come after her, to marry her, when he finds out that she left from America to England, but she will soon understand that he has other plans, so Victoria's only chances are in her cousin and uncles' s hand and her uncle wants the two of them together, as a family.

Jason, the cousin, marries Victoria but they are not happy together because it seems that Jason doesn't know how to be happy. They are both atracted to each other and in the end, they fell in love.

The ending felt a little abrupt and I felt sorry for the other guy.

Even though I am not a fan of historical romances, I did enjoy this story.
