Before reading this book you should know that you should probably buy a dozen of napkins because certainly, you will need them. It's because of "The fault in our stars" the "Titanic" took "A walk to remember"  and now is "Five feet apart" from you, and as it smiles, it's saying: "P.S.-I love you". You got my point ?:P  Yeah, that tragic!

A girl and a boy meet when they are 5 and they are best friends and later lovers, as teenagers. They love each other and they are always together. The boy, Rune, is from Norway, and they have to go back there because his father's job, demand it. They are both 15 and they are broken. Rune is hating his family because he has to let Poppy behind, but with nothing left to do, they promise to each other to be faithful and to keep in touch, because they know that they are gonna see each other again, in the future.

"No goodbyes, remember? You always say that there's no such a thing as goodbye"

Rune and Poppy kept in touch for 2 months, but after that, Poppy disappeared. No one knew where she went or how to contact her. As the weeks and months pass, Rune is becoming angrier and angrier with the situation and with his family, because he considers his father, guilty for his misery.

After 2 years, Poppy is again at her house in the small city where she met Rune, and after some weeks, she finds out that Rune and his family are moving from Norway to the house next door. She is happy to see him but also is terrified because she doesnt know the guy anymore, because the boy she is now seeing, is not the Rune she knew. As Poppy tries to stay away from Rune, he is trying to hurt her because she hurt him first when she left him, without a word. Because their love is greater than anything, soon Rune understands that he cannot stay away, so he starts to ask questions about the reason behind Poppy's disappearance.

"I've tried living without you it doesn't work "

This book broke me and I cried like a baby reading it. It was not a 5*  book because the dialogues, were a little too cliche, and the plot started to be cheesy from the 50 % mark, until, let\s say, 70 %. The epilogue was shocking and it was "As special as special can be".
This book made me remember that " Every day is a gift".

"My eyes never left Rune. I thought about how truly beautiful he was.. I let myself imagine how he would look in ten years' time. I wondered what he'd be doing with his life"
